RMIT Building Services (2015)
doors, door handles, MGP10 pine

This project was installed at Rubicon ARI as part of a group show called making the UN which explored the experience and process of making art works.

A manifestation of the psychological through the architectural, the work consisted of a pair of doors hung so close together such that neither could open because of the obstruction of the other. The framework was deliberately transparent so as to reveal the illogical internal structure and the viewer was invited to traverse this space — a ridiculous but playful impossibility. Much like trying to get anything done by RMIT building services.
